Dianna Kuster spoke on behalf of the homeless families at the
King's Inn in Kingston. She suggested a Holiday toy drive to benefit the 60-70

Kathy Germain, Co-Chair of the District Wide Parents' Council was
guest speaker.
She complimented Betty Groth for her work as Zena's
representative to the DWPC Kathy highlighted the role of
the DWPC as an
advocacy group. The DWPC is a resource for parents. It is a step
beyond
the building level to the next level of administration. It
represents
all levels (Elementary, Middle School and High School) and
provides an
opportunity for these representatives to sit down and speak with
the
administrators. The DWPC takes school board policies and informs
parents
of these policies. It serves as a parent advocate to educate
parents and
break down barriers between buildings and administration.
Meetings are held at 9:30 AM on the 1st Thursday of the
month at Crown
Street. Two meetings a year are held in the evening at Bailey/Miller.
